What's the deal with Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair? Why wouldn't Shawn mention his name (at HOF)?

I've heard people talk about Shawn and Flair like something happened off camera between the two of them, and Shawn doesn't care for him. I know Flair as Shawn's favorite growing up, but what am I missing?
