What can cause severe upper abdominal pain?

Around 2pm today I was sitting in a chair and suddenly got intense,sharp upper abdominal pain. It was short of like a backwards C, starting on the left side, ending towards the lower right side. As the pain progressed, I couldn't even stand up straight, cough, take a deep breath, without it hurting and it started migrating more towards the middle/right upper. Went to an urgent care center and they were considered it may be gallblader so i was sent to the ER. Pain was 10/10, i was nauseated and in tears. Labs showed a slightly elevated WBC and neutrophils, Low creatine, and a moderate D-dimer at 0.55. After 4mg of morphine i was discharged with out any answers.
